An AD network with over 100 million monthly audience from over hundreds of top publishers had a major shortcoming in identifying the context for which the ad has been targeted. This resulted in huge inventory loss causing a considerable loss in revenue . Additionally other content identification systems lacked domain specific knowledge to identify on key specific taxonomies.
The Data Science Team at C1 were able to create a corpus of data from the open web that accurately extracted domain specific attributes. With this addition they were better equipped to identify the context of a page and hence better ad targeting resulting in significant growth in revenue.
